What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is used to treat a wide variety of physical and psychological problems and symptoms and is, in fact, the oldest of all recorded healing techniques. It is a natural state we are all familiar with, indeed you will have experienced it many times during your life - while daydreaming, listening to your favourite music, during prayer or meditation, and just before sleep. These are all times when your subconscious mind is alert and to the fore. Hypnosis is a natural and effective way of making contact with the inner self, a tremendous reservoir of unrecognised potential of strength and knowledge.

Hypnotherapy is a co-operative venture rather than something the therapist does to the client. The ease with which hypnotherapy works is directly related to the level of desire and motivation on the part of the client, as it is the client who will make the changes.

A Sympathetic Approach
Through our hypnotherapy work at Miracles of Your Mind we aim to treat the individual and the cause of the problem, not just the symptom. We put people at ease with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, helping you with your problems with a sympathetic and warm approach. We can help our clients to overcome their issues, mental and physical, and make a difference to your life.

Hypnotherapy can help with a very wide range of emotional and physical issues. In fact there are very few problems that cannot be addressed with hypnotherapy, the list below is by no means all of them. Clients learn a lot about themselves, often with life changing outcomes.

How Sessions Work
You can expect to feel very pleasantly relaxed, all tension having left your body. Whilst your conscious mind and body relax, your subconscious self is raised to a keen state of pervasive awareness that allows your therapist to effect the changes you wish to make.

You will be aware of everything that is said, and will retain control throughout the session. In this deep state of relaxation your subconscious mind is very receptive and is able to act upon new suggestions more readily, thus empowering you to make the desired changes.

Hypnotherapy is a co-operative venture rather than something the therapist does to the client. The ease with which hypnotherapy works is directly related to the level of desire and motivation on the part of the client, as it is the client who will make the changes.

During the initial session the therapist and client will discuss the problem. The client will experience hypnosis and learn to relax and enjoy the feeling. Whilst in this state some preparatory suggestions will be given to aid the deeper work, the hypnotic experience is then expanded upon and positive suggestions are made to deal with the problem. The client leaves feeling happy and with a new confidence in their ability to deal with the problem.
